This privacy policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or use Dive Buddies (https://divebuddies.club).
When you visit the website, we automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
In order to run the service we ask only for information that is necessary to create your account, match you with dive buddies, and organise dives. Additional information you choose to provide—such as availability, diver preferences, and dive plans—is used only to help you find compatible buddies and coordinate dives. None of your personal details are shared with other organisations or used for any other purpose.
If you log in via Google or Facebook, we only access your email address and name for identification purposes from these services.
If you log in via Google, Facebook, or with your email address, we capture your name and email address. This is used to identify you, show your profile to buddies you connect with, match availability and preferences, and coordinate planned dives and messages. If you enable notifications, we use your device’s push subscription to send dive invitations and messages.
We do not use or store any financial information, or payment information. We do not share any of your data with external parties apart from other Dive Buddies users you interact with through the service (for example buddies, dive organisers, and dive shops you engage with).
